Dr. Jared Louw
Dr. Jared Louw was born in South Africa and immigrated to Canada in 1999. He will happily tell you that he has been a proud Canadian ever since! Dr.Jared obtained a bachelor degree in biomedical sciences at the University of Guelph, and graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2017. In his spare time, he enjoys catching up on TV shows and movies, spending time with his three cats, studying martial arts, and if weather permits spending time outdoors. His love of animals in all forms is readily apparent, but his main veterinary focus is dogs and cats, with some experience with exotics/pocket pets, wildlife, and poultry
Renita DeWaele RVT
Renita was born and raised in Springfield Ontario spending her time between two family farms. Growing up, she had the good fortune to be surrounded by a variety of animal friends including; cows, horses, sheep, goats, chickens, peacocks, dogs and cats. She presently shares her home with her three cats; Sylvester, Caramel, and O’Malley as well as her dog Gracie. Renita graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at the University of Guelph Ridgetown Campus in the fall of 2017. Not only does Renita have a strong passion for veterinary medicine, she also has a very creative side that she expresses through drawing, painting, writing poetry and playing the tenor saxophone. Apparently, this isn’t enough to keep her busy, as she also finds time to go camping and fishing with family and friends.
Sarah McGannon - Assistant Office Manager
Before moving to Ontario from Vancouver in 2005, Sarah was a Veterinary Assistant for 15 years and she still truly loves what she does! Sarah lives in London with her son Finnley and her furkidlet golden retriever cross Payton. She enjoy gardening, cooking and anything creative and crafty.
Ranger Client - Greeter
Ranger's past is a bit of a mystery as he's not really one to talk about himself. We do know he had some previous experience at PetSmart before joining our team in the spring of 2018, accepting the position as our Client Greeter. He considers himself a real "People Fish". His outgoing personality, sunny disposition and 'can do' attitude are a true inspiration to the entire Belmont team. When Ranger is not busy greeting clients he likes to spend his free time creating bubble nests and just swimming around.
Ashley Reeves RVT
Ashley was raised in the small hamlet of Frome Ontario. She was fortunate to grow up surrounded by many cats and a Blue Heeler named Foster who spent his days chasing/herding the cattle at the neighbouring farm (unbeknownst to the poor farmer!). Ashley graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at the University of Guelph Ridgetown Campus in the fall of 2017. She recently moved to Belmont with her four cats; Harry, Toojay, Tux and a sassy torti named Miss Kitty. Ashley’s family and friends affectionately refer to her as a Crazy Cat lady and she even has a pair of ‘cat’ Converse sneakers to prove it! Since she loves spending time outdoors hiking and enjoying camp fires, her dream is to live in the country with a pet pig, donkey and (yes) even more cats!
