Amy was born and raised in Windsor, Ontario and moved to St. Thomas with Dr. Raj Bhatia in August of 2009. She completed her Bachelor of Science honours degree at the University of Guelph in Animal Biology in December of 2007. She has always loved being around animals and educating clients on how they can best take care of their additional family members. Amy loves all the nature and walking areas the St. Thomas and Belmont region has to offer. She also enjoys riding her horse, Ralley, walking her dogs, Darla and Sydney and watching movies.

SarahSarah McGannon
Assistant Office Manager

Before moving to Ontario from Vancouver in 2005, Sarah was a Veterinary Assistant for 15 years and she still truly loves what she does! She lives in St. Thomas with her son Finnley and furkidlet, a Golden Retriever cross named Payton. Sarah enjoys gardening, cooking and anything creative and crafty.

KendraKendra Cowan
Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist

Kendra has lived in the small town of Belmont all her life. She finished a Veterinary Assistant program in 2009 and was lucky enough to get her dream job right here in Belmont in 2010. She loves sharing her experiences and expertise with pet owners on a daily basis and is very compassionate and loving towards the patients. She has had an assortment of animals throughout her life and now shares her house with her Weimaraner named Roxie. She loves spending time outdoors and enjoys her hikes in the woods just as much as Roxie does.

Ashley Reeves

Veterinary Technician

Ashley was raised in the small hamlet of Frome Ontario. She was fortunate to grow up surrounded by many cats and a Blue Heeler named Foster who spent his days chasing/herding the cattle at the neighbouring farm (unbeknownst to the poor farmer!). Ashley graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at the University of Guelph Ridgetown Campus in the fall of 2017. She recently moved to Belmont with her four cats; Harry, Toojay, Tux and a sassy torti named Miss Kitty. Ashley’s family and friends affectionately refer to her as a Crazy Cat lady and she even has a pair of ‘cat’ Converse sneakers to prove it! Since she loves spending time outdoors hiking and enjoying camp fires, her dream is to live in the country with a pet pig, donkey and (yes) even more cats!

Renita DeWaele

Veterinary Technician

Renita was born and raised in Springfield Ontario spending her time between two family farms. Growing up, she happily spent her days caring for a variety of animal friends including; cows, horses, sheep, goats, chickens, peacocks, dogs and cats. She presently shares her home with her three cats; Sylvester, Caramel, and O’Malley as well as her dog Gracie. Renita graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at the University of Guelph Ridgetown Campus in the fall of 2017. Not only does Renita have a strong passion for veterinary medicine, she also has a very creative side that she expresses through drawing, painting, writing poetry and playing the tenor saxophone. Apparently, this isn’t enough to keep her busy as she also finds time to go camping and fishing with family and friends.

Official Greeter

Roxie is Kendra’s Weimaraner, she was born February 23, 2010. She enjoys long walks on the beach, wading in the water and fetching sticks. She’s very active and enjoys running through the woods when her mom gets the chance to take her out. Roxie loves to greet everyone that comes in the door, so come in, make her day and meet her!
